Fun, informative and tasty!
My wife and I didn't quite know what to expect ahead of the tour, but upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by Caroline, a warm, smart and well informed tour guide that made Sonoma come to life in so many ways.
This is probably my 6th trip to Sonoma (we live 90 minutes away in San Mateo) and I had no idea there were so many layers to the history of the town and it's agricultural growth. Caroline shared stories of Sonoma's founders and the key individuals who oversaw it's growth going back to Spanish and Mexican and finally American oversight. We stopped for great food tastings and one wine tasting - all were delicious and contributed to our understanding of Sonoma.
Most of all, Caroline was someone we wished lived next door to us. She is kind, patient, thorough and she remains curious about all aspects of this city and region - the best kind of tour guide! Highly recommend this tour.
Pro tips: Be sure to get restaurant and shopping recommendations since they really know the ins and outs of the area. And arrive hungry since there will be ample sampling of food and drink along the way.

Excellent city food/history tour of Sonoma!
We love city food/history tours because they offer a great view of the culture, history and dining customs of the local area weโre visiting. We have been on tours in many cities in the U.S. and around the world (New York, London, Quebec City, Seattle, Denver to name a few.) This food, wine & history tour of Sonoma is by far the best that we have ever experienced. Our guide, Caroline, was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the tour, recognized and met the special needs of the individuals in the group and offered lasting memories of what makes Sonoma different and special. She set a pace tailored to the needs of the small group and kept us on time without feeling rushed. Very highly recommend!!

Fun day in Sonoma
Had a great experience on the Sonoma Food Tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sonoma. Our guide Caroline was wonderful and very informative. I loved getting a map of the Sonoma Square that was tailored to shops and restaurants I would like to go to after the tour.

Abby was our host and she did a terrific job of moving us along the history story of Sonoma and the bites of cheese, avocado rellenos, exotic ice creams of diverse flavors, olive oil, flavored balsamic vinegars, wine and chocolates. Despite a rainy day, we enjoyed the entire experience so much. She was awesome at pointing out the highlight shops around the central park. We feel that information is power and now we have an insight of information for Sonoma visiting.

Fantastic way to spend 3 hours!
We booked this tour last minute and were so glad we did! Our guide, Caroline, was THE BEST. Very knowledgeable about Sonoma (and surrounding areas) and very personable. The stops she took us to were perfectly curated and had a very personal feel. All locally owned and operated and sooooo good. I would HIGHLY recommend if you have some time and want to know the history and get a feel for the tastes and sips of Sonoma!

Amazing food and wine tour.
We had a fabulous time on this tour. The food, wine, cocktails and desert were delicious and equivalent to a large lunch. Getting to learn about the history of Sonoma along the way was a bonus. Our guide Caroline was very knowledgeable and personable. She did an awesome job introducing each tasting and sharing Sonomaโs history. I highly recommend this trip to everyone visiting Sonoma. We will do it again on our next visit.

We attended the Sonoma Walking Food, Wine, & History tour on a Saturday at 11am. Caroline Brown was our tour guide. She was full of great smiles, laughter, insightfulness, Sonoma historical knowledge, and wonderful energy! It was a great way to start our 1st full day in Sonoma; providing us with ideas on destinations. Caroline was full of suggestions based on our interests & desires... so helpful! I would recommend this Sonoma Walking Food, Wine & History Tour to everyone.

A โmust doโ tour of downtown Sonoma!
If you are looking for something to do in Sonoma, I highly recommend this tour!
Before we even took the tour, our experience with the owner Mia was wonderful. There were two in our party, but there was only one ticket left. I reached out to Mia and she was able to graciously open another spot for us. The group usually caps at 8, to more easily navigate the tasting rooms and spots, so we were thankful for the exception. Our tour guide, Abby, was amazing! She immediately greeted us with a warm smile as we checked in. The group we were with was very nice, and Abby does an ice breaker to get everyone comfortable for the next few hours. The tour itself was even more than we expected, as Abby brought us to historical sites around downtown Sonoma, which brought the magic of the area even more to life, in addition to the food and tasting rooms.
We appreciated the recommendations shared for us to check out once the tour was over, which just helped cap the beautiful day we had in downtown Sonoma.
Make sure to check out this tour when you are planning your trip. Book early as it does tend to sell out.

โAwesome walking tour of downtown Sonoma!โ
This walking tour was better than our group anticipate and was an excellent blend of food/wine/cheese indulgences with the rich history of Sonoma. Mia, our guide, is a wonderful hostess who took us to all the right places where we truly got to taste and touch all things good in town. The hi-light of the tour was the Depot hotel where we got to taste a specialty pizza made by one of the owners himself. Very special! I highly recommend this to anyone interested in talking a break from the traditional winery tours.
